Proposed update

Draft wording, pending legal review. This is not legal advice and is not yet in force.

Phone numbers

We collect your mobile phone number at registration and store it in international format. We use it only to let the other person in an accepted quote contact you on WhatsApp, and to contact you about your account if needed. It is never displayed publicly and is not shared before a quote is accepted.

WhatsApp links

When you choose “Continue on WhatsApp”, your device opens WhatsApp with the other person’s number and a short message about the task. Anything you send in WhatsApp is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.

Recommendations and private reports

When a client recommends a provider, we store the recommendation, any tags and comment, and which quote it relates to. The provider’s profile shows the count, tags and comments, but not the client’s email or phone number. Private issue reports are seen only by the Listo team and kept to handle the report and enforce our terms. We keep earlier star ratings on our records but no longer display them.

Notifications

We send essential messages about your account and security, and about activity on your own tasks, quotes and messages (for example, when a quote is accepted). Everything optional is off until you choose it: new job alerts, recommendation reminders, and news and announcements. You can opt in when you register or later in Account. Phone (push) notifications only start if you allow them on your device. You can change any of these in Account at any time, and every announcement email links to your email preferences.
